We are hiring a Relationship Manager.

United Way Guelph Wellington Dufferin (UWGWD) is the largest investor in social services in
our community, second only to government. We know that the social issues facing our

year-round to build relationships and participation, strengthen partnerships and enable shared

Position Overview
Working under the direction of the Development Director, the Relationship Manager works to
power UWGWD’s role in a shared responsibility for social good. As part of the development
team, the Relationship Manager maximizes community impact by creating engaging giving
experiences for key workplace campaigns and volunteers. The Relationship Manager also helps
diversify revenue by implementing strategies developed in the annual operational plan.

Role Responsibilities

  • Manages and supports key workplace accounts including goal setting and campaign strategy, monitoring progress and adjusting plans as needed and completing a post campaign evaluation.
  • Engage with key volunteers and build strong, mutually beneficial relationships ensuring they have the knowledge and tools to be successful, and that they understand the impact of their support.
  • Deliver impactful communications during partnership calls and community presentations to help increase the understanding of the role of United Way as a leader for social good.
  • Provide input and execute fundraising strategy to maximize and diversify revenue by enhancing current, and implementing new, revenue streams.
  • Staff lead of the Golf United committee, plan and execute Golf United tournament.
  • Support other United Way events
  • Working with the Annual Giving Manager and Community Engagement Manager, enhance individualized and impactful donor communications to increase engagement on social issues and help donors understand the impact of their gift.
  • Manage Co-Op students and/or sponsored employee.
  • Effectively use our CRM (currently Andar) to capture donor data, plan and monitor fundraising effectiveness.
  • Attend key community events and activities as a way to promote the UWGWD mission, vision and core values becoming a defined community ambassador for United Way.
