United In Conversation: UnCharitable

Join us at this dynamic and engaging community event that will challenge the way we see charities and non-profits and the impact we can make together!

“United In Conversation” events bring people together to learn and unlearn in collaborative, interactive discussion sessions between community members with diverse perspectives on each event’s topic.

UNCHARITABLE

No topic is more crucial and timely as we confront an increasingly unstable non-profit sector whose fate lies in how much we are willing to invest in positive change.

UnCharitable is a feature-length documentary directed by Stephen Gyllenhaal, that exposes the dark side of philanthropy and introduces a radical new way of giving. Led by Dan Pallotta, whose record-breaking TED Talk on the subject has inspired leading philanthropists and changemakers, UnCharitable looks to move, persuade and inspire audiences to change the way they think about giving and give charities what they need to truly change the world.

As an organization who believes in a shared responsibility for social good, we believe in the power of the non-profit sector to solve some of the worlds most complex problems. We are proud to present this opportunity to learn, challenge perceptions and have courageous conversations to help unleash the potential of local charitable organizations.  This screening will be one of only eight happening across Canada!
