Presented by McKenzie Lake, join United Way and Women United for United in Conversation, a morning dedicated to celebrating women as leaders for social good in our community.
As changemakers, women are driving community connection. Whether through volunteering, advocacy or philanthropy, women are building communities that foster belonging and inspire action. By creating spaces, where everyone feels welcomed, connected and valued, they are inspiring greater civic action and uniting us for good.
We’re pleased to welcome Andrea Bidgood, Guelph’s first Bicycle Mayor and founder of community-building initiatives such as Guelph Girls, Gays & Theys Bike Club as our keynote speaker. Andrea will share how fostering connections and belonging can build confidence, strengthen communities, and empower people to see themselves as active participants in creating change.
Here’s what’s in store:
🔨 Build Community: Connect with other community changemakers, and learn how, along with United Way, we can create lasting impact and strengthen our community.
💡Learn: Hear from women in our community who are fostering belonging and inclusion through their work, inspiring others to help build communities where everyone can thrive.
❤️Give. Act. Volunteer: Explore opportunities of how you can give back to your community through philanthropy, volunteerism and advocacy to build a community where all women and girls can thrive.
Women United is for all women – including cis, trans, non-binary, intersex, and all women who see themselves united for women and girls in our communities and beyond.
Each ticket includes a hot breakfast, coffee, tea and a morning of meaningful connection and conversation.
If you are unable to attend, please consider supporting Women United with a donation and make an impact in our community today. When women thrive, so does our community.
