Nobody should have to choose between feeding their family and being able to afford basic period products. Yet, 1 in 5 people who menstruate are likely to experience period poverty this year.
Throughout the month of March, United Way Guelph Wellington Dufferin invites you to join Period Promise. In partnership with Smitten Apparel, United Way is collecting new, unopened period products to distribute to community partners across Guelph, Wellington & Dufferin.
When people who menstruate have access to the products, education and health care they need, they are free to show up fully in their lives. Fighting period poverty goes beyond meeting a basic need, it helps individuals thrive.
Donate today and help ensure no one misses out because of their period.
How Can I Support?
Unopened/unused products, including pads, tampons and period underwear, can be dropped off at the following locations:
- United Way office – 255 Speedvale Ave W. Guelph, Monday-Friday between 8:30am to 4:30pm
- Smitten Apparel – 259 Grange Rd. Guelph, Monday-Wednesday 10-6; Thursday 10-7, Friday 10-6 & Saturday 10-5

Cash donations can also be made online
Donated products will be distributed through United Way and Smitten Apparel to community partner organizations in need across Guelph, Wellington & Dufferin, including food banks, shelters and community health programs.
